Kazuhiko MORI / 森一彦
Professor and Director
Kopomori (Kazuhiko Mori, Welfare Environment Design Laboratory), a first-class architect office, conducts design management for the realization of "a welfare environment where diverse people, including the elderly, people with disabilities, and children, can live together safely and happily." is proceeding. In modern society, we create new value by reconsidering daily life in the spread of housing, welfare facilities, communities, and cities from the perspective of “life,” searching for and reconstructing the resources and needs there. To do. In addition, through this process, we will train the bearers (experts).
We actually go to the living environment and work with stakeholders such as users, residents, governments, and experts to design and manage the continuous process of planning, design, implementation, operation, and improvement. In particular, we aim for evidence-based design that is supported by objective clues by scientifically looking at the human body, physiology, psychology, and behavior. In addition, through workshops such as Involved Designing and Reality Orientation, we measure consensus building and common recognition with stakeholders.

Background:
1956, born in Gifu prefecture, Japan. 1982 finished master course of building engineering in Toyohashi University of Technology. 1982-1985, Yamashita Architects & Engineers. 1986-1994, Research Associate of Toyohashi University of Technology. 1995-1998, Assistant Professor of Tukuba college of Technology. ( 1997, Visiting Researcher of Montreal University ). 1999-2004, associate professor of Osaka City University. 2005-present, Professor of Osaka City University. Recent Publications are Encyclopedia of Care Environment for Dementia(2009), Aging In Place – Dwelling Design in Aged Society(2009), Conversion of Empty Houses & Buildings into Welfare Facilities(2012), Urban Community Design for Disaster Reduction, Action for Disaster Reduction(2013), etc. Major Awards are Tyubu Architectural Award for Touei Forestry Center(1992), Ishizaki Award, The Japanese Society for Dementia Care(2003), Encouraging prize, Man-Environment Research Association(2007), Achievement Award, Association of Urban Housing Sciences(2013), Excellent Education Award of Osaka City University(2014), etc.
一級建築士事務所コポモリ（前 森一彦_福祉環境デザイン研究室）では「高齢者や障がい者、子どもをふくむ多様な人々が共に分かち合い安心で楽しく住み継ぐ福祉環境」の実現にむけたデザインマネジメントを進めています。現代社会において住宅から福祉施設、地域、都市までの広がりの中で営まれる日常生活を“いのち”の視点からとらえなおし、そこにある資源とニーズを探し出し再構成することで、新たな価値を創造します。加えてその過程を通して、その担い手（専門家）を育成します。
実際に居住環境に出かけ、利用者や住民、行政、専門家などのスケークホルダーと協働し、企画・設計・実施・運営・改善の継続的プロセスのデザイン・マネジメントを行います。特に、人の身体・生理・心理・行動を科学的に見つめて、客観的な手がかりで裏付けられたエビデンス・ベースト・デザイン（Evidence based Design）を目指しています。またインボルブドデザイニングやリアリティオリエンテーションなどのワークショップを通してステークホルダーとの合意形成・共通認識を計ります。

1956年岐阜県生まれ。1982年豊橋技術科学大学大学院建設工学専攻修了。1982年（株）山下設計。1986年豊橋技術科学大学建設工学系助手。1995年筑波技術短期大学デザイン学科助教授、その間（1997年）モントリオール大学研究員。1999年大阪市立大学大学院生活科学研究科助教授を経て同教授 兼大阪市立大学都市防災教育研究センター所長、現在、大阪市立大学大学名誉教授、大阪公立大学大学院生活科学研究科客員教授。著書に「認知症ケア環境事典」2009年、「Aging in Place 超高齢社会の居住デザイン」2009年、「空き屋空きビルの福祉転用」2012年、「いのちを守る都市づくり〔アクション編〕みんなで備える広域複合災害」2013年、「ほっとかいない郊外」2017年、「福祉環境デザイン原論〜居住のブリューイング」2022年、他多数。中部建築賞、日本認知症ケア学会石崎賞、日本都市住宅学会賞業績賞、大阪市立大学優秀教育賞、人間環境学会賞など。専門分野は、建築計画、福祉環境デザイン学。
